Thermography

Thermography utilizes an infrared camera to image the heat signatures of the body. This allows us to visualize unusual tissue metabolic activity and areas of inflammation. Breast Thermography is a valuable tool to assess early cancer risk and is used in addition to traditional medical imaging such as mammography. 

TMJ Disorder

Clicking, popping, and jaw, head, neck, or ear pain are all common symptoms of TMJ Disorder. Our Physical Therapists are all trained to address they myriad causes of TMJ disorder and patients often find their symptoms completely resolved after only a few visits! McKenzie

A McKenzie trained therapist has undergone additional, specialized training to become an expert on how to assess and treat a wide range of spinal and musculoskeletal issues using the clinically proven McKenzie method. Activecare Physical Therapists are all McKenzie certified.

Lymphedema

Lymphedema is caused by obstruction in the lymphatic system, part of the immune and circulatory systems. Lymphedema has many causes, including lymph node removal or damage due to cancer treatment.

The main symptom is swelling in an arm or leg, or face and neck area, that may be accompanied by pain or discomfort.

Cancer Rehab

Common side effects from cancer treatment may include but are not limited to:

  • Fatigue and muscle weakness 

  • Lymphedema

Peripheral Neuropathy

Peripheral Neuropathy results from damage to the nerves in the extremities. A common cause of Peripheral Neuropathy is diabetes, but it can also result from injuries, infections, and exposure to toxins and chemotherapy agents.

Symptoms include pain, a pins-and-needles sensation, numbness, and weakness.
